The problem
LendInvest offers a wide range of mortgage products. But keeping all that information updated and consistent across platforms became difficult and time-consuming—especially during a period of economic instability in the UK.
The internal team was spending too much time repeating updates across channels. Meanwhile, brokers—who needed quick access to product criteria—were struggling to find accurate information.
They were sent PDF documents and had to manually search for what they needed. Many ended up calling the sales team just to confirm details.
This wasn’t working for anyone.

The opportunity
LendInvest is already integrated with Knowledge Bank, a tool brokers use to compare mortgage criteria from different lenders. But keeping LendInvest’s data synced with the product updates was hard. And the experience felt disconnected from the LendInvest brand.
That led to a simple question:
What if brokers could search LendInvest’s mortgage criteria directly from our own site—using a tool that feels like ours?
The proposal
I designed a LendInvest-branded version of a criteria search tool—familiar in function, but aligned with the company’s style and tone.
The idea was to keep things simple, clear, and fast for brokers.
The key features included:
The idea was to keep things simple, clear, and fast for brokers.
The key features included:
- Search bar for fast access to key criteria
- Multi-product selection for side-by-side comparison
- Export/print options so brokers could save or share only what they needed
- A central content system that made it easier for the internal team to update and maintain data
By centralising product content, we could eliminate duplicate work and ensure consistency across platforms like Knowledge Bank, the LendInvest website, and internal documents.
This project tackled both a user and business problem:
- Brokers needed a better way to search criteria.
- The internal team needed a more efficient way to manage content.
Even though it didn’t launch, the design is still valuable. It proved that small, thoughtful tools can make a big difference—especially when they build on tools users already trust.
Although the tool was fully designed and market-ready, due to budget constraints, its launch was paused.
