When I first reviewed Danilo Zocatelli’s online portfolio, the gap between the work and the website was clear. His photography was refined and award-winning; the site experience, however, felt cluttered, inconsistent, and difficult for him to maintain.
Over a focused two-week collaboration, we rebuilt the foundation.
Audit & Structure
We walked through every page and piece of content to understand what was working—and what wasn’t. From this, I created a cleaner information architecture tailored to two key audiences: new visitors discovering his work and industry professionals searching with intent.
Design & Content Management
I redesigned the navigation, applied consistent typography and layout rules, and added metadata and tagging for better SEO and internal organisation. Then I built a custom CMS so Danilo can publish new projects without relying on external help.
Responsiveness & Visual Refinement
We refined the layout to work fluidly across devices, making sure the interface stayed quiet and let the photography lead. The visual system now feels calm, cohesive and aligned with his artistic tone.
Future-proofing
With an upcoming online shop in mind, I implemented Google Analytics tracking to help him understand visitor behaviour and shape his content and product strategy over time.
Outcome
The new site finally reflects the quality of Danilo’s work: simple, elegant and scalable. He now has a clean, flexible platform to showcase new series, share updates, and grow his presence in contemporary photography.
